About This Game
Built and created by a solo developer, Breakthrough: Kemet X ™ explores an alternate history scenario in which the indigenous empires of Kemet, also known as Ancient Egypt, were never conquered by imperial forces. Young warrior prince Jaraqo embarks on a warpath to become the pharaoh of a newly discovered galaxy the Kemetians have colonised and named Kemet X. However, he encounters formidable opposition from galactic overlords who resist his rule over the galaxy.
Players will embark on a journey that explores African history and Afro-futurism like no other game before it. With great visuals and an immersive gameplay experience, Kemet X promises to take players on an unforgettable adventure through an alternate timeline.
A free demo of Breakthrough: Kemet X will be released in the last quarter of 2024 on PC. Kemet X is currently in development for the full release of the game on PC and consoles, with a release date to be announced (TBA). Additionally, we have plans to release a virtual reality (VR) version of the game after the full game release to PC and consoles. The VR release date is still under consideration.
