ABOUT THE GAME

Game introduction:
“After the Turn” is a new First Person Survival Horror game from Groom Lake Studios made in Unreal Engine 5.
Music composed by Iestyn Haberfield

A compelling story mode will actually tell the player what happened to the world rather than you are just dumped into it. Reveal how the world became Post-Apocalyptic in single player and even continue the story in an open world survival map.

In an alternate universe, vampires and zombies exist as well as other undead. Vampire blood must be harvested to continue creating a cure against zombie bites.
Hunt vampires at night while surviving zombie attacks during the day.

But the undead aren’t your only foe in After the Turn. Rebels, rival factions and wildlife also hinder your progress.

Game Features:

Maps:
Every map is handcrafted and created with passion.

Story Mode:
Single player story that tells you how the world ended.

Explore:
Large open worlds to explore with multiple locations. Each open world has a different story to tell, even in multiplayer.
EVERY house and building can be entered and searched for supplies.
EVERY tree and rock can be cut down and harvested leaving a barren wasteland if you allow it.

Craft:
Multiple items and types to craft.

Farming:
Plant crops in plots and watch them grow, they do require water from your inventory, unless it’s raining… You can now use bottles from your backpack and it leaves behind an empty bottle to be refilled.

Building:
Ability to build you own base or hut when too far away from the safety of your base.

Weapons and Armour:
A variety of weapons available, from pistols and rifles, to clothing and armour to protect you.

NPC’s:
From Quest Givers to Merchants to people just ready to tell you their story, the game world will feel alive full of people to interact with.

Hunting:
Wild animals are everywhere in the open world and some provide food for cooking and other materials for crafting.

Vehicles:
Working vehicles with their own storage to help on those long scavenge runs. Vehicles also have working radios in them and can damage enemies.
Vehicles now require fuel to operate, find jerry cans of fuel in the world, when you refill the vehicle, you are left with an jerry can that can be refilled at some point.

Nausea System:
Bringing true “survival” to the undead genre, being in melee range will fill the nausea meter on your HUD, once full you will be incapacitated from the stench of rotting flesh and you will be vulnerable to enemy attacks. One on one, the undead aren’t too much of a threat, but in a pack, your meter will fill very quickly.

Lockpicking:
Find a door that’s locked, track down some lockpicks and get access to that area.

Flashlight:
A flashlight system that will require you to be conservative with existing battery levels unless you can find more batteries in the world.

Food and Drink:
Find various foods and drinks throughout the open world. Crafting also produces new types and also medicines.

Day/night and Weather:
Full dynamic time of day and random weather.

Other mechanics:
Swimming, Ladders, Climbing.
