Manual control of the ship’s sections must be enabled, so they can be moved around as in a sliding puzzle for further exploration.
I see two possible outcomes for this endeavor, leading to two different endings. A second scenario can be unlocked by getting to one of them, allowing the other to be reached through a rerun of the experiment under harder conditions.
